Leicester architect selected onto new EU wide agreement

KPW, one of Leicester's most diverse architectural practices, has moved the business up a notch, not only has the company recently been awarded some of the largest contracts in its 31 year history, it has also been accepted as a consultant for the Quantum Consortium Framework. Meaning the practice can now work with selected Housing Corporation approved development partners, operating throughout the East and West Midlands.

The special four year Quantum Procurement Framework agreement, which has an estimated total value of approximately £10 million, expects projects in the timeframe to have build values ranging from less than £500,000 to schemes in excess of £5 million. Signing up to the consortium means that KPW has fulfilled the stringent criteria required and will be able to undertake partnership projects with the following four organisations, which are recognised as some of the most important social housing providers in the region:

  • Derwent Living
  • East Midlands Housing Association
  • Futures Group
  • LHA-ASRA Group

Tim Clark, director, KPW said: "We are delighted that we have made it onto the Quantum Consortium. We have many years experience in affordable housing and were determined to meet the standards required. The Framework provides us with an EU Procurement compliant vehicle and places the business in a strong position to procure works with other successful Framework Consultants and Contractors.

"It is our intention to work with Framework members to develop positive working relationships based on quality of outputs, generation of opportunities and value for money. We view this achievement as further testament to our commitment to this sector and an investment in the future of the practice."
