Leicester Architect Lights up UK's First Ever 5 Star Holiday Apartments in Blackpool!

Burbage Holiday Group, one of the UK's premier holiday
accommodation providers is enjoying a busy British
summer season despite the weather, thanks to Leicestershire
based KPW obtaining planning approval for a re-development
project in just four short weeks!

KPW was approached by Burbage Holiday Group, owner of Queens
Mansions in Bispham on the North side of Blackpool town centre, to
design a two-storey extension to the existing Art Deco building.  The
vital element was ensuring the project was completed in time for the
World Ballroom Dance Championships earlier this year.

The £200,000 scheme included an extension to the third and fourth floors
to create a 5 star, three-bedroom penthouse apartment, plus two-bedroom
duplex apartment with balcony and roof sun terrace.

KPW submitted the application to Blackpool Council and planning
approval was granted in just four weeks, allowing the construction
programme to proceed rapidly, with completion scheduled for the key
Summer lettings season.

Mick Grewcock of Burbage Holiday Group commented: "We believe
it is extremely important that we, and companies like us continue to
invest in the British Holiday market.  KPW provided us with a speedy
turnaround and fantastic result just when we needed it.  This level of
professionalism and service is what will help the UK economy out of
recession."

Gareth Share, director, KPW said: "We were extremely pleased that
planning approval was secured in such a short period of time for the
Queens Mansions extension.  This proves the benefit of early
consultation with the Local Authority a process which KPW always
advocates!"

Burbage Holiday Group is owned and run by Mick who comes
originally from Barwell and Sheila Chick who is from Burbage in
Leicestershire.  They started the business 12 years ago and were the
first to launch a 4/5 star holiday apartment scheme in Blackpool.  The
original building, constructed in 1938 has benefitted from a rolling
improvement programme ever since.
